Night Guards

A night guard is a dental appliance that protects your teeth from excessive grinding and/or clenching of the jaw (bruxism). Night guards (and mouth splints) even out the pressure across your jaw and create a physical barrier between your upper and lower teeth to protect them from further damage. As the grinding/clenching happens mostly during sleep, the night guard is worn at night. Night guards also help to reduce any grinding noises you make at night.
