Dr. Bill Gurel

Dr. Bill Gurel grew up in Calgary. He received his BSc in Biochemistry from the University of Calgary and followed that with his DDS from the University of Alberta. After graduation, he completed a General Practice Residency at the University of Alberta Hospital, before practicing in Fort McMurray for 2 years. On several occasions he was a Clinical Supervisor for dental and hygiene students in their senior year rotations through Satellite clinics in Northern Alberta. Bow River Dental Centre has been open since 1998.

Dr. Gurel lives in Cochrane with his wife and family. Formerly an All-Canadian at track and field, he now enjoys mountain biking and xc/telemark skiing. Other interests are yard work, reading and board games.
