My name is Cathy and I have been a hygienist for approximately 10 years now. I have two lively children and a husband to go along. I have lived in Cochrane for 9 years and absolutely love the community. I have been practicing in Cochrane for approximately 5 years and it has been the best experience in my career. Working here has given me the opportunity to meet, work, and help amazing individuals. At Bow River Dental we pride ourselves in catering appointments to each individual in the chair. It’s all about the experience.

Hi! I’m Taylor, and I have had the pleasure of working at Bow River Dental Centre since 2019. I grew up in Red Deer, then moved to Edmonton to complete a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and the Doctor of Dental Surgery program at the University of Alberta. I love living in Cochrane, and can most often be found exploring the amazing trails in the area with my dog. My favourite part of dentistry is building relationships with patients that I get to see ongoing over time. I love treating patients of all ages, and look forward to the opportunity to meet you in the office!

I’m Sheri, the lead RDA at the office and a busy single mom of three kids! I was born in Edmonton, grew up in Calgary, and now living in Cochrane for the past 7 years. I have worked in General Dentistry as well as Oral Surgery and Periodontics before taking time at home to raise my kids. I have been a part of Bow River Dental for nearly three years and love working in Cochrane and having such great rapport with our patients. When I am not at the office I am usually at the hockey arena watching my boys or at my daughter’s dance. I have found a new passion in paddleboarding and have a goal to get my standard Bernedoodle to love it as well!

I have been in the dental field for 13 years. My husband and young son enjoy hiking, spending time with family and friends in our spare time. I also enjoy playing baseball.

I am a registered dental hygienist with more than ten years of experience. I graduated from the University of Alberta and have special training in the field of myofunctional therapy. I strive to conduct evidence based client centered care during your hygiene visit.

My name is Kyla Waknuk. I was raised in Ponoka, Alberta and attended the University of Alberta for three years before beginning dental school at the University of Saskatchewan. I then began my career as a dentist in Saskatoon. I am so excited to continue my career in providing care and treatment for the people of Cochrane.

I am passionate about individualized dental care and providing quality dental treatment to meet the needs and goals of each patient. My priority is to provide a comfortable environment for my patients with judgement-free care. I am excited to get to know you and your family!

Hi there! My name is Laura. I was born and raised in Cochrane, met my husband here, and started our family with our two beautiful girls. In my spare time, I enjoy anything artistic and it’s always a bonus to escape to our parks out west to paint beautiful mountains and wildlife.

I have been a registered dental assistant and team member with Bow River Dental Centre since 2004. Although my top priority is your oral health, I truly feel like I’ve done my best if you feel comfortable, at ease, and hopefully, we have a good laugh! Can’t wait to see you in the office.

Hello, my name is Kelly and I have been in the dental field for 38 years. 20 of those years I have been working in an administrative role at Bow River Dental Centre.

Outside of the office my husband Greg and I can be found at our lake property chilling out with our 2 dogs almost every weekend. Looking forward to meeting new patients and catching up with our regular patients.

Amy was born and raised on the prairies of central Alberta, after which she attended the University of Alberta for her post-secondary education. She has since lived and worked in Calgary, Edmonton, and Cochrane. She and her husband made Cochrane their forever home in 2013 and now raise their 3 children in Sunset. Amy spends most of her time with her family, exploring the outdoors near Cochrane or camping in the summer, and skiing in the winter. What she likes most about the office is the family atmosphere. After having worked here for over 6 years, she can truly say that this is the best office she has ever worked at. She looks forward to helping you with all your dental hygiene needs.

With over 25 years of dentistry passion, I graduated from the University of Alberta in 1996. My early interest in craftsmanship, inspired by my father, translates into my dental practice. Post-graduation, I served as a Captain in the Armed Forces, gaining advanced surgery training. In 2002, I founded Enhance Dental Care and later transitioned to an associate dentist role, focusing on surgery and patient care.

I'm committed to continuous education, with advanced courses in cosmetic dentistry, bite reconstruction, and surgery from the Pankey Institute and Spear Education. My practice emphasizes trust, respect, and overcoming dental fears through IV sedation and thorough patient communication. Joining Bow River Dental, I'm excited to contribute to your dental health goals.

I was born and raised in NW Calgary. I went to school for dental hygiene in Saskatchewan. I am very passionate about preventative health and helping patients improve their overall health by achieving a healthy mouth. Most of my spare time is taken up looking after my husky. I also enjoy playing soccer, hiking, skiing, and hanging out with friends and family.

Dr. Iman Yazdanbod completed his undergraduate studies in Bioinformatics with honours at the University of Calgary, where he was involved in numerous research projects. He then graduated from McGill School of Dentistry in Montreal. After working in Calgary for many years, Dr. Yaz is now excited to further extend his Cochrane roots.

Dr. Yaz’s foremost priority is to establish personal relationship with every one of his patients. He has also taken extensive hours of continuing education ranging from conservative restorative treatments, root canal therapy, myofunctional therapy, complex crown and bridge treatments, periodontal (gum) surgery, sedation, children’s dentistry, and Invisalign. Now, He is very eager to join Bow River Dental Centre to provide for your dental care needs.

Hi, I’m Amy D, not to be confused with Amy S.
I was born and raised on Vancouver Island where I completed my Dental Hygiene education and moved to Cochrane in 2016. I have two young boys and a rambunctious black lab. I’ve been a hygienist for over ten years and my favorite part of my job is getting to know patients and treating their individual oral health needs.
