Information
Waterlase Laser:
The Waterlase MD is a revolutionary dental device that uses a combination of YSGG laser energy and water, a process called Hydrophonics, to perform many traditional dental procedures and less anesthesia. It transforms the experience for both us and you the patient. It offers a less invasive and more precise form of treatment that conserves healthy tooth structure. The waterlase emits a laser beam that energizes a highly precise spray of air and water, and this laser is used to cut teeth instead of the traditional method. Patient anxiety is reduced and a more comfortable appointment is experienced as well.
Velscope:
A revolutionary hand held device that provides dentists and hygienists with an easy to use adjunctive mucosal examination system for the early detection of abnormal tissue. The patented Velscope technology platform was developed in collaboration with the BC Cancer agency. When used as an adjunctive aid in combination with traditional oral cancer examination procedures, early discovery and visualization of mucosal abnormalities prior to surface exposure that may be or may lead to oral cancer will be facilitated.
Digital Radiographs:
Safer, clearer and respectful of the environment. We are impressed with the newest technology in dental radiographs. Our digital x-ray system allows us to take sharp images of your teeth and oral structures using much lower radiation levels than traditional film based radiographs. The digital x-ray system is networked with our computers making the x-ray images immediately accessible so that you and the dentist can easily discuss diagnosis and treatment. It is also friendlier to the environment since we have said good-bye to films and toxic chemicals.
Microscopic Dentistry:
Our commitment to our patients is to provide leading edge technology and the provision of exceptional care. The first step to ensure excellence is having the ability to perform treatments with the ability to see clearly what we need to treat. This can only be achieved with the use of a dental microscope. With the magnification power of the microscope we can perform procedures to allow us to preserve as much natural tooth structure as is possible. The microscope allows us to perform procedures with more precision and accuracy. It is absolutely indispensable.
Biocompatible Materials:
Patients are aware of the materials that we use in dentistry. In order to ensure the quality of dental materials for our patients, we use exclusively scientifically proven materials purchased from reputable Canadian supplies.
